A Texas-Sized Trial Is Set to Begin

Baylor linebackers coach Gary Joe Kinne is ready to move on, but the past will always haunt him. Kinne was coach of Canton High in Texas last April 7 when a man barged into his office and fired a shot, hitting Kinne in the abdomen. Kinne lost 80% of his liver in the shooting. On Tuesday, opening statements begin in the trial of Jeff Doyal Robertson, who is accused of shooting Kinne. Robertson, who has remained in jail on $1 million bail since being arrested shortly after the shooting, has a tattoo on an arm of cartoon character Yosemite Sam brandishing two guns with the words, "Born to Raise Hell."
